Mary Cruise
Tai Chi Instructor
KIDS Tai Chi Founder

Tai Chi has been an important part of my life and something I enjoy sharingwith others. My family includes my husband, our son and daughter, who are both teenagers, and our great dog, Andy the ChiDog. I teach Tai Chi to both adults and children in groups and private classes. Some of my background training includes Yang Style Tai Chi, Phoenix Tai Chi, and I hold a 2nd Degree Black Belt in Taekwondo. Being a mother and enjoying kids is one of the most important reasons I feel strongly about kids doing Tai Chi.

Tai Chi has become well known for the health benefits it produces. Using a fun, playful setting kids can learn so much about their body and movement. Through Tai Chi exercises kids can improve balance, concentration, flexibility, focus, learn memorization skill and gain self-confidence. The KIDS Tai Chi classes I teach are a non-competitive focus. So much of life is about competing with others, while Tai Chi is done without the judgment of being first or last.

The classes for kids I teach are normally ages 5-14. Opportunities are also offered for a parent to participate with their children. It’s a great way to be a part of creating a healthy image for children.  Another great benefit of Tai Chi is that it requires no equipment or special area. Tai Chi is great indoors or outdoors for a short amount of time or for an extended amount of time.

I invite you to come play Tai Chi with me.
